TIMONA is a philanthropy (non-profit) organization founded by Biniyam Mosisa Dribsa; a senior banking executive and financial technology architect with over 20 years of experience in the banking, finance, and information technology sectors. He serves as the Deputy Vice President at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in Addis Ababa, where he coordinates technical, leadership, and digitalization initiatives.
Concurrently, he is the Architect and Technical Lead of the TIMONA (ጥሞና) & Magenta Projects (FinTech Intelligence Hub), a sovereign research initiative dedicated to supporting the wider regional financial community, the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), and the strategic mandates of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 framework.
Biniyam holds prestigious global credentials including Certified Digital Finance Practitioner (CDFP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), and advanced professional certifications in Applied and Advanced Artificial Intelligence from HEC Liège, Luxembourg. His operational work and research focus on supervisory technology (SupTech), decentralized edge node engineering, real-time transaction perimeter defense, and macro-financial risk modeling.
